The New Norm with COVID-19: Reducing Stress
- Written by Sherri Eubank, MA, LPC
During these uncertain and stressful times, it is important to create a space of comfort and relaxation. Look around your house, porch, or deck to decide where that will be. It could be a section of a room in your apartment. What do you like to do? Are you a crafty person or maybe a bird watcher? Your hobbies can help you identify where your space will be. Maybe you can redo the things hanging on your walls to create a new space. Have you stored a few treasures in cupboards that you could pull out and enjoy looking at to change your space? Just the thought of identifying that space can create excitement and happiness. Each day, have a routine in your space. Practice some mindfulness. Check out YouTube and find meditations that will add calmness to your life and space. If you need assistance with stress and anxiety, Bridging Harts is now available online.
