Not sure what to read this summer? Here’s some recommendations from me to you! A little bit for everyone. Click on the title to go to Amazon!

For the 20-something:
The Defining Decade by Meg Jay, PhD—a great tool for fellow 20-somethings trying to figure out what to do with life. This book covers topics from career, relationships, and body. If you desire a certain career, your 20s is how you set that foundation for success. If you desire marriage one day, you set that strong foundation NOW. A great tool for all!
Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso—written by the gal who founded NastyGal, this memoir not only goes into how Sophia rose to success, but also gives key steps to how you can live your own creative life. If you dream to own your own business or be your own boss, this is a great tool. Or, if you want to see how a gal selling on eBay created a million dollar company, this is your book.

For the Relationship Gurus:
Healthy Adult by Lori Jean Glass—need help implementing boundaries? Need some tools for identifying codependency and attachment styles? Want to learn more about your attachment style as an adult? Here is the book for you! A great tool for learning how your attachment creates cyclical patterns in your current relationships.
The Wisdom of the Enneagram by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson—everything you need to know about the Enneagram. This book lends itself to be more of an overview of each enneagram type, and if you’re using it only for yourself, it may seem wasteful. However, if you are in relationship with other people (and you are!), then understanding their enneagram type will be helpful to you, too. This is an inclusive enneagram tool that details the different types, wings, and variants in an easy to digest way. I highly recommend and use mine frequently.

For the Self-Improvement Adults:
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle—if you’re into mindfulness and self-awareness, here is the book for you. Are you feeling stuck, unhappy, perpetually coming up short? Is the world seemingly against you? Do things always just go wrong? Eckhart Tolle is a famous talent that I think you guys would really enjoy.
A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle—similar to my recommendation above. If you want to mindfully live life instead of autopilot, check out this tool. Awaken your life's purpose!
What Color is Your Parachute by Richard Bolles—I usually recommend this to my Career Counseling clients, but I think this is an important book for anybody looking to understand and harness their skillset. This book helps identify careers you’d best be suited for, as well as unique talents and skills that you possess.

You Got This

and have fun!
