Happy LOVE month, everybody!

February is a time where people are invited to celebrate their love and what their partner means to them. Love is such an overwhelming feeling that can consume one’s life and make it hard to think or communicate. This is where the 5 love languages come in… words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. The 5 love languages were made to help couples and individuals understand how they need to experience love to feel truly and fully loved. Though the 5 love languages are widely known, they are still confused and misunderstood easily. Because of that, I thought I would explain the love languages with the best way I know how… with TACOS (my personal love language)

Words of Affirmation: Your tacos are delicious!!

Acts of Service: I made you tacos.

Receiving Gifts: Here’s a taco.

Quality Time: Lets go out for tacos.

Physical Touch: Let me hold you like a taco.

I am hoping my love for tacos and love languages appears clearer with this example. If you are having trouble figuring out which love language you lean more towards, decide which way you want tacos! Bring this to you partner and let the conversation lead itself. Conversations on bettering a relationship and understanding each other better do not always need to be serious and scary.
